Lincoln County High School (LCHS) to Host a Career & Technical Education Showcase!
LCHS will host a CTE Showcase on Thursday, September 19, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. This event presents a fantastic opportunity for all Lincoln County Schools students and community members to discover the amazing career and technical education offerings available.
Attendees will have the chance to explore our state-of-the-art facilities and connect with our dedicated instructors to learn more about their programs. Current students will share their insights and experiences, providing valuable perspectives on enrollment. Students will also learn about various dual enrollment programs that allow them to earn college credits while still in high school.
To encourage our 8th graders to explore their interests as they begin considering their high school Focus Area, LCHS will host a CTE BINGO contest. Upon arrival, each 8th grader will receive a BINGO card. For every CTE program they visit, they will earn a stamp. Once they complete a BINGO—whether vertical, horizontal, or diagonal—they will be entered into a drawing for an exciting prize basket.
Participants will also have the opportunity to try out our virtual reality equipment, which demonstrates how innovative technology can enhance learning, thanks to funding from the Innovative School Model Grant.
Representatives from Motlow Community College, TCAT-Shelbyville, and TCAT Pulaski will be present in the Commons Area to discuss dual enrollment and answer any questions.
In addition to the CTE Showcase, a FAFSA and Scholarship Workshop will be conducted in the school’s library from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. This workshop is designed to assist parents and students in navigating college applications and gaining knowledge about local scholarships.
Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the future possibilities awaiting you at LCHS! We look forward to seeing you there!
