Lincoln County High School Mock Interview Event: A Day of Growth and Opportunity
Community and industry leaders joined Lincoln County High School's senior-level Government and Economics classes for the annual Mock Interview Event. This initiative offers students a valuable chance to hone their professional interview skills while receiving constructive feedback from local business professionals across various fields.
The community volunteers engaged with students, providing essential guidance to enhance their interviewing techniques. This hands-on experience is vital as students prepare to enter the workforce.
Feedback from both volunteers and students was overwhelmingly positive. Students returned to the classroom energized and excited about their experiences, while community leaders expressed their enthusiasm with remarks such as:
“I’d hire him!”
“Excellent interview!”
“I would most definitely hire someone like Alyssa; she has great skills and characteristics.”
“Lauren did very well. She was nervous, but I would hire her tomorrow!”
“Great interview skills. Would hire him for any role because he appears willing to learn and ask questions.”
“Did better than some adults with experience.”
By the end of the event, we were able to confirm 2 internship offers, 3 resumes selected for callbacks, and 2 requests for applications upon graduation.
We are incredibly grateful to all the volunteers who dedicated their time to invest in our students' futures.
